Whole Wheat Waffles
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3⁄4 cups buttermilk
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt and set aside.
- In another bowl mix together eggs, butter, brown sugar, buttermilk, and vanilla until well combined.
- Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Pour the waffle batter into the waffle iron and cook according to the iron’s directions.
