Christmas Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients
- 2 pounds Jimmy Dean’s regular sausage, Cooked
- 9 slices rustic loaf of bread, cubed
- 8 ounces swiss cheese, shredded
- 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 large eggs
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons dried onion, minced
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt and pepper
Directions
Preparation (the night before baking)
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cheeses, eggs, milk, dried minced onion, mustard powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Add the bread and sausage. Mix until well combined and pour into the prepared baking dish.
- Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Baking the casserole
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Remove the casserole from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.
- Bake covered, in the preheated oven, for 20-25 minutes and then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow the casserole to rest for a few minutes before serving.
