This is an EASY candied nut recipe to make for a snack or to dress up any salad.
Ingredients
- 2 cups pecans or walnuts, halves or pieces
- 1⁄41⁄2 cups granulated white sugar, depending on the desired sweetness
- 2 eggs whites
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 300°F (149°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray; or use a silicone baking mat. Set aside.
- In a bowl mix together the nuts, sugar, egg white, and salt.
- Spread nuts over the baking sheets and bake until golden brown, about 20-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely and enjoy.
